For the Strength of Women
As women, we live in a world where being incredibly busy is the norm, and the pressures of daily life can be daunting. We are bombarded not only with the demands of home, which include cleaning, cooking, laundry, paying bills, etc. but most of us now hold jobs outside the home as well. We may also be married or single and raising children, which increases our responsibilities significantly. We may be young and just getting started in life, or older and feeling like life is leaving us behind. We may have money or no money, but one thing is sure, we all have challenges and difficulties to deal with, and burdens to bear.
We see the media portraying "successful women" as having a glamorous body with perfect skin, hair, and clothes. So I ask, what makes one valuable or successful? Is it what you do? Is it where you live, how much money you make, if you have successful children, a big house, a boat, and a car that adds value to your life? In our society we see these images continually. Therefore, one may think that to be considered successful or valuable one must obtain and be the "perfect" person as seen in the advertisements, TV shows, movies and magazines. We may accept that airbrushed image and think we are falling short. Discouragement and fatigue may overwhelm us and we may forget that we are valuable, wonderful women just as we are.
My purpose in writing this blog is to strengthen women. I want to share positive information and encouragement to help women in their journey. And, perhaps even add some sunshine into your life.
Let's get started and enjoy the journey together.
